The atmosphere is festive, spacious, and very reminiscent of Mexico. Unfortunately, the food and service fell short. To start, the guacamole was nothing special and had an unappetizing yellow tint. I ordered a Michelada made with club soda instead of beer, while the flavor was great and authentic, I wish the server had advised me that substituting the alcohol would still cost the full $13.99. For dinner, we ordered the Choripollo and the Tostada Caribe. The portions were large, and I was excited for the variety of seafood in my tostada. The menu didn't mention that it is served in an overwhelmingly spicy brine, nor did our server warn me. It wasn't a language barrier issue either, as we spoke in Spanish the entire time. Lastly, we ordered a beer promoted on a tabletop card as a $3 special. When the bill arrived, we were charged full price and told the deal was only for Cinco de Mayo even though it's now June 3rd. Management needs to update their table promotions so customers aren't misled. This level of service ultimately falls on management for not properly training their staff.
